Fiesole Italy

Its origins go back to the 7th century BC, when it became a thriving Etruscan city. Hence, one of its great cultural riches is the archaeological heritage it has in the form of Etruscan temples and also from the Roman period, especially visible in the ancient baths and in the remains of an amphitheater from the 1st century BC. If you visit Fiesole during the summer months you will see how this amphitheater regains its splendor of yesteryear, since in this venue a jazz festival is held, and theatrical performances are also held during the Fiesolana Estate, the open-air festival oldest in all of Italy. The visit to this archaeological complex is complemented by the entrance to the Bandini Museum that shows works of art from the beginning of the Renaissance. And as a counterpoint you can also visit the Primo Conti Museum, where the work of the avant-garde author of the same name is exhibited. And of course lovers of architecture and religious art also have an appointment with the Cathedral of San Rómulo and the Basilica of San Alejandro, a temple of the fifteenth century located in an enclave from which there are ample views of the environment , plagued by cozy country villas. And older and still higher is the Church of San Francisco of the fourteenth century.
